Christmas Day. The Festival of the Incarnation of Our Lord. The almighty and eternal Word - who at the Creation spoke all things into existence - "became flesh and made his dwelling among us." Astonishing as that is, it had to be. In keeping with the heavenly Father's magnificent plan, his Son had to become flesh and blood so that he could suffer and die. Only by that sacrifice could he free us from the bondage of sin and purify us to be a people who are his very own. This is what makes our Savior extraordinary! This is his glory!
